Terms of Service

These are the rules for using Menula as a restaurant owner. We have kept them short and in plain language; if anything is unclear, ask us before you sign up.

Effective 9 September 2026

1. The agreement

These terms are a contract between iCode(“we”, “us”), the company in Kurdistan Region, Iraq that operates Menula, and the restaurant or business that creates a Menulaaccount (“you”). By creating an account or using the Menula app, you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy.

Guests who only scan a QR code to read a menu do not need an account and are not bound by these terms; how we treat their information is described in the Privacy Policy.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old and authorised to act for the business you register.
  • Give us accurate information (restaurant name, email address) and keep it up to date.
  • Keep your password private. You are responsible for everything done through your account, including by staff you invite.
  • Tell us immediately at support@menula.app if you think someone else has access to your account.

3. Your content

Your menu, photos, logos, descriptions and other material you upload (“your content”) remain yours. You give us permission to store, process, resize and display your content so that we can run the service and show your menu to your guests. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in routine backups.

You are responsible for your content. In particular you agree that:

  • you own or have the right to use everything you upload, including photos and logos;
  • prices, descriptions, ingredients and allergen information you publish are accurate and are your responsibility, not ours;
  • you will not publish content that is unlawful, misleading, defamatory, hateful, pornographic, or that infringes someone else’s rights;
  • you will not use Menulato send spam, distribute malware, or attempt to access other restaurants’ data or our systems.

We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules. Where reasonable, we will tell you first.

4. Subscriptions and payment

Menula is sold as a subscription. Each plan has a monthly price and a set of features and limits (for example how many items, languages or design options you can use) shown in the app. We may offer a free trial; when the trial ends, a paid subscription is needed to keep using the service.

  • A new subscription (your first purchase, or an upgrade to a higher plan) is bought for 12 or 24 months and starts immediately.
  • An extension of your current plan is bought for 6, 12 or 24 months and is added to the end of your current period.
  • The price is the plan’s monthly price multiplied by the number of months, in Iraqi dinar, and is shown before you confirm.
  • Payment is made through FIB (First Iraqi Bank)in the FIB app. FIB’s own terms apply to the payment itself. A payment request expires if it is not completed within 15 minutes; you can simply start a new one.
  • You may upgrade to a higher plan at any time. Moving to a lower plan is not available during a paid period.
  • Payments are non-refundable. Unused time is not refunded if you stop using the service, delete your account or your account is suspended for breaking these terms.
  • When your subscription or trial expires, we may suspend the service for your restaurant: your menu, QR links and app access may stop working until you renew. Your content is kept for a reasonable period so you can pick up where you left off; after that it may be deleted.
  • We may change plan prices or features. Changes do not affect a period you have already paid for.

5. The service

We work hard to keep Menula available and fast, but we cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, add or remove features, and we may carry out maintenance that briefly takes the service offline. Menus are public web pages: anyone with the link can view them, and search engines may index them.

6. Ending the agreement

You can stop using Menula at any time and ask us to delete your account (see the support page). We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if a subscription remains unpaid, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the service; in the last case we will give you reasonable notice.

7. Liability

Menulais provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost sales, lost profits or lost data, or for losses caused by your content, by third-party services such as FIB, or by events outside our reasonable control. Our total liability to you for any claim connected with Menula is limited to the subscription fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. You agree to cover us for claims made by others that arise from your content or your breach of these terms. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect from you and from your guests and how we use it. Where guests send you orders, valet requests or feedback through Menula, you are responsible for handling that information fairly and in line with the law.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Any dispute that we cannot settle amicably will be handled by the competent courts of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always published at this address with its effective date. If a change is significant we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Menula after that date means you accept the new terms.
